Aaron Gordon Heki

Aaron Gordon Heki, 54, passed peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012, after a short struggle with cirrhosis of the liver. He is survived by his brother, Steven Heki; a sister, Julianne Unger; and his four children, Sarah Dickson, Anna Hathaway, Alan Heki and Elizabeth Heki; and many other loved ones. Known not only as Aaron, he was also called Poppa and Pops, a nickname he wanted to be passed on from his own Papa, his grandfather, whom he loved very much. Always chasing freedom in this life, he said he felt most free when riding his Harley in Wyoming. He always enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He was a very giving, kind-hearted person and during this tough time in his life, he was able to have a sense of humor and kept laughing right up until his last days. An informal service will be held Saturday, March 2, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Cocolalla Lake on Sportsman’s Access Road.
