Samuel Wayne Estep

May 17, 1938 — April 11, 2013

On April 11, 2013, Samuel Wayne Estep found peace when he went home to Heaven to be with the Lord and his late wife, Bernice Estep. Born on May 17, 1938 in the small rural town of Charleston, West Virginia, Sam Estep grew up in a large family. Throughout his life he had the privilege of experiencing many wonderful things. His biggest enjoyment, although with many struggles, was his ability to be self employed after dedicating many years to his employment with Riley Creek Lumber Company in Laclede, Idaho. Since his retirement from Riley Creek in 2000, Sam dabbled in many ventures from used car sales to both new and used appliance sales and service. On April 29, 1965, Samuel met and fell in love with his loving wife. The two of them celebrated their 47th and final wedding anniversary on April 29, 2012, as Bernice was taken home to the Lord later that year. Sam enjoyed working on cars and traveling to area casinos for some much needed entertainment. Sam is survived his Son, Steven Estep (Kelly) of Airway Heights, WA., Daughter, Sheryl Bohrn (Gary) of Sagle, Idaho, Nephew (“Son”) Jay Hall of Sagle, Idaho, Grandchildren, Sam Estep of Airway Heights, Jeffery Bohrn of Sagle, Idaho and Courtney Bohrn of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, Great Grandchildren Bradye, and Landyn Bohrn of Sagle, Idaho and Emmett Cotton of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, a brother, Paul Estep of Chiloquin, Oregon and a sister, Pauline Estep also of Chiloquin, Oregon. Sam is preceded in death by his wife, Bernice Estep, his father, John Estep, mother, Nettie Estep, brothers Bill Estep, Larry Estep and Junior Morris and sister Bonnie Hall. “Sam was deeply loved and will be truly missed and kept forever in our hearts.” Family and friends are invited to join at a memorial gathering and potluck on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at the home of Gary and Sheryl Bohrn, 296 Meadow View Drive, Sagle, Idaho at 12:00p.m.
