Pearl Howard, 83, of Cocolalla passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at her home.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 2:00pm, Thursday, July 31, 2014 in Westmond Cemetery.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, Saturday, August 2, 2014 in the Southside Community Church. Pastor Rick McLeod, Southside Community Church, will be officiating at both services.
Pearl was born in Ogden, Utah on Feb. 12, 1931 the daughter of Merle and Mary Forbes. On Dec. 24, 1949 she married Sam Howard in Las Vegas, Nevada. She lived in California and Washington prior to moving to Cocolalla, Idaho in 1975. She worked for the Bonner County School District, at the Farmin Stidwell School, retiring in 1994.
She enjoyed water aerobics at Sandpoint West Athletic Club and sewing cross stitch designs. She was a longtime member of the Southside Community Church, in Cocolalla.
She is survived by her daughter Cassie Hoye at the home in Cocolalla, ID; her son Sam Howard in Seattle, WA; numerous grandchildren, including Nicole at the family home, and great grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Preceding her in death were her parents and her husband and her son Floyd and his daughter Barbara that died in a house fire in 1986 in Plummer, Idaho
