Arnold William Yager

November 8, 1938 — December 2, 2020

In the early morning hours of Dec. 2, Arnold Yager passed away at the age of 82.  Born on Nov. 8, 1938 in Spokane, Washington, he went on to live with his family in Sandpoint, Idaho.  After graduating from the University of Idaho with his Architectural Degree, he moved to Seattle to begin his career.  Within a few years he started his own Architecture Firm, which eventually led to forming an Investment, Building and Property Management company.

In January of 1979, he married the love of his life, Carole.  With their marriage came five children: Patrick Zeller, Lisa Zeller Cryder, Beth Yager Harris, Joe Yager and Lesley Yager Boren, along with ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  A strong family unit became the top priority for both Arne and Carole. His greatest passion was to be father, papa, and devoted husband, assuring that all members of his family were cared for, nurtured, and loved.

With his wife Carole, Arne loved playing golf and traveling the entire USA and Europe.  He was brilliant at Sudoku and jigsaw puzzles, and played bridge.

Arne graduated from Sandpoint High School in 1956.  Playing high school football was truly one of the greatest highlights of his life. He spoke many times about the incredible life lessons he learned while on his team, which he maintained served him extremely well for the rest of his life.  As such, the Arnold Yager Sandpoint High School Football Fund is being created in his honor.  If you care to make a donation (in lieu of flowers),
