Barbara Rose Bouse

July 30, 1935 — June 11, 2019

Barbara R. Bouse, 83, passed away in Sandpoint on Tuesday, June 11, 2019.

 

Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 10:00am, Saturday, June 15th, in the Pack River Cemetery.  Father Dennis C. Day will be officiating.

 

Calling hours will be from 2pm until 4pm. Friday, June 14th, in Coffelt’s Funeral Chapel.

 

Barbara was born in Kootenai, Idaho on July 30, 1935 the daughter of John and Magdalena Weisz.  She attended, and graduated from the 8th grade at the Kootenai grade school.  She graduated from Sandpoint High School in 1954 and was part of the Cedar Post Staff.

 

She married Gerald Bouse in Coeur d”Alene, Idaho and would make her home in Kootenai, Idaho.  She worked in the lunchroom at Farmin School and in housekeeping for Bonner General Hospital, prior to retirement. 

 

Barbara was a wonderful mother, enjoying her family and her friends.  In her younger years she was active, participating in walks, cross country and downhill skiing.  She enjoyed country music with Waylon Jennings being her favorite musician.

 

She is survived by her husband, of 65 years, Gerald Bouse, 3 children Sherry (John) Hobday, Renee (Chris) Gaddis, and John Bouse; grandchildren Sarah, Brian, Brenda, Nick, Caleb and Mark; great grandchildren Johnny, Elisabeth, Mia, Remy and Kylie.  Also surviving are 2 brothers Joe and John Weisz, 2 sisters Mary Mitton and Ann Stutzke; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson Matthew, 2 brothers Pete and George Weisz, 3 sisters Katherine Gerber, Liz Kemp and Maggie Barrett.

 

Memorials may be made to the Idaho Youth Ranch, 5465 W. Irving St. Boise, Idaho 83706; in memory of Barbara Bouse.
