Bruce Robert Taylor

Bruce R. Taylor, 74, passed away Wednesday August 27th in Sagle, Idaho.

Bob crossed the bridge this morning, his dog Oso and his many warrior friends came and took him home.

During his life, he walked through fire with steady grace,

A quiet storm, a fierce embrace.

Not for glory, not for fame—

But for love, and honor, and a noble name.

His battles were many, his burdens deep,

He always said, integrity was doing the right thing when no one was watching.

He fought for truth for his fellow brother in arms.

And when the time had come at last,

He laid down his sword with open arms

Like a soldier who finally understands.

That peace is not surrender’s cry,

But the softest way a soul can fly.

That strength is found in letting go, in trusting winds where hearts may flow.

I will carry his courage, his quiet might, for the rest of my life.

His love is my armor, his truth my light.

He died in honor, bold and free—

And lives forever inside of me.

Bob is survived by his wife of 35 years Christina, his daughters Melissa Nirk, Jessica Miller, Nichole Miller and Samantha Caldera. 7 granddaughters, 2 grandsons and one great grandson. Bob will be laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
