Charles Robert Broadsword

September 15, 1933 — November 26, 2019

Charles Robert Broadsword, born September 15, 1933, passed away November 26, 2019.

Chuck was born “up Grouse Creek” to William and Margaret (Grey) Broadsword. The fourth of nine siblings, he and his brother Gene ran wild in the hills.  Chuck met Donna (Chronic) Broadsword at Sandpoint High.  They were married in CD’A at the hitching post in 1952.

Chuck worked at the Pack River Mill, later WI, for 40 years, then Northern Log Homes for 10 years.  Chuck loved the outdoors.  Most of our weekends, when not working on the home farm, were spent camping, fishing, or hunting.

Chuck was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son Kim Allen; his brothers Dalton, Gene, and Douglas, and his sister Esther Burian.

Chuck is survived by his wife Donna, his son John (Joyce) Broadsword, his daughter Virginia (Sam) Howard;  grandchildren Wendy (Scot) Auld, Amie (Owen Kehoe) Broadsword, Brian (Renee) Bartlett, Andy (Jennie) Bartlett, and JC (Lolita) Broadsword; ten great grandchildren; his brothers Chet (Marsha) Broadsword, Arthur Broadsword, Dale (Lu) Broadsword, and his sister Hazel Crowley;  sisters-in-law Rose (Ron) Chaney, Judy (Tom) Dabrowski,  brother-in-law Mike (Lisa) Chronic, and many nieces and nephews.

Thank you to Dr. Burgstahler and the staff at the Life Care Center for the stellar care and compassion that Chuck and family received during Chuck’s stay.
