Charles Francis Gladish passed away March 6 at the age of 90. He was born on October 16, 1935 to Oscar E. and Janet Gladish of Pullman, Washington. He is survived by his devoted wife Sonia, daughters Jennifer Foster (Rick) and Leslie Taylor (Rick), granddaughters Kelsey Anderson (Sam), Sarah Hawkins (Coleman), and Tenille Steranka (Jordan), and grandson Joshua Foster, along with 3 1/2 great grandchildren.

Chuck attended Washington State College and graduated in 1958. This is where he met Sonia, the love of his life, and they married on June 20, 1959. After graduating, he joined the U.S. Air Force and flew as a fighter pilot for 7 ½ years. From there he began his commercial flying career with Pan American Airline, serving for 25 years, and then Delta Airlines for four years.

After retiring, Chuck and Sonia bought a motorhome and traveled around the United States. They relocated to Cocolalla and eventually Sagle, Idaho, where they have lived for 30 years.

Among his many other accomplishments and activities, Chuck was a lifelong member of the NRA, past President of the Cocolalla Lake Association, and a volunteer at the Bird Museum in Sagle.
