Obituary for Earl Peter Fisher
July 26, 1941 – August 20, 2025
It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Earl Peter Fisher of Moyie Springs, ID. Earl was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Doloris (Wills) Fisher; his daughter, Tina Fisher Gibson of Bothell, WA; his son Barry Fisher of Sandpoint, ID; his grandchildren, Drew Gibson of Bothell, WA; Damon Gibson of Seattle, WA; Jennie (Fisher) Zimmerman of Springs, TX; Sara (Fisher) Hull of Sandpoint, ID; Ben Fisher of Sandpoint, ID; his step-grandchildren, Tristen Mills of Coeur d’Alene, ID; Tiffany Chabak of Waco, TX. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Margie and Nancy. Earl was born on July 26, 1941 in Seattle, WA. He grew up in Burien, WA before moving to Kent, WA where he met and married his wife, Doloris, raised two children, and worked as a building contractor. Earl and Doloris moved to Moyie Springs, ID in 2006. Earl was known for his love of family, his energy, strength, determination, generosity, sense of humor, and tender heart. He enjoyed working on vintage cars, camping, boating, sports, and opening his door to family and friends. He also enjoyed building houses, completing his last a year ago at age 83. Earl bravely fought cancer for nearly ten years. Though cancer cut his life short, it also was a catalyst for his faith in Jesus Christ. We are grateful for God’s mercy and grace, Earl’s faith and transformation, and knowing that Earl is in the loving arms of God for all eternity.
“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”
