Gordon Irvin Campbell, 73, of Sandpoint, Idaho, passed away on May 20, 2025. Born in Eugene, Oregon, on March 2, 1952, Gordon lived a life defined by hard work, deep loyalty, and the love he shared with his family and friends.
A long-haul truck driver by profession, Gordon was known for his strong work ethic and dependable nature. He had a true gift for working on and diagnosing cars, and he loved the challenge of solving mechanical puzzles. He was also an avid NASCAR enthusiast and enjoyed attending races at Stateline Speedway. Gordon looked forward each year to Sandpoint’s Lost in the ‘50s celebration and could often be found swapping stories with friends at Super One. His easygoing spirit, sharp wit, and genuine kindness left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife and lifelong friend, Paula May Campbell; his son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Mindy Campbell; and his treasured grandchildren, Samantha and Dominick Campbell. Gordon is also survived by his stepson, Vance Bell; his brother and sister-in-law, Greg and Karri Campbell; his sister, Gayle Tiller; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Gordon will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. His warm presence, hearty laugh, and generous heart will be deeply missed.
A celebration of life will be held later this summer.
