Harold Magnus Overland

April 16, 1930 — March 7, 2020

Harold Magnus Overland, 89, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at his home in Sandpoint, Idaho.

 

A memorial service will be planned and announced at a later date.

 

Harold was born in Circle, Montana on April 16, 1930 to Magnus and Emma Overland.  He moved to Spokane, Washington with his family, he attended Rogers High School graduating in 1948.  After graduation he moved to Sandpoint, Idaho.

 

He worked for the railroad and then Carnation and Dairy Gold until his retirement.  He married Lorraine Smith and had three children; Jon, Hal and Kristen.  Unfortunately, Lorraine passed away to soon at 43 years of age.  Later he married Hazel Walson until her passing.

 

He is survived by his wife Betty, with whom he shared the love of music and traveling.  Together with friends they performed as the Country Plus Band.  His fine voice and guitar playing will be missed greatly by all.

 

Harold was a kind and loving man.

 

The family suggests that memorials may be made to the Sandpoint Senior Center, 820 Main St, Sandpoint, ID 83864.
