Jackie was born in Troy, Idaho April 4, 1936 to Michael and Marcia Schroder.

She attended grade school in Lapwai, ID, with her older brother, Don and younger sister Susan.

Her father worked for the railroad, so the family moved to various locations throughout Idaho and Washington.  She graduated from Sandpoint High School in 1954.

She met Wally from Spirit Lake and got married on June 19, 1955.  The couple moved to Coeur d'Alene, ID where they had three boys. The Miller family moved to Sandpoint in 1961 onto a small farm on Kootenai Cutoff Rd. They raised a variety of farm animals and always had a large garden.

Jackie enjoyed gardening, knitting, ceramics, sewing and fishing.  She played the piano and the organ. The children heard Gershwin’s “Rhapsody In Blue” many times.

After the three boys moved away, she and Wally had a home built in the Ponder Point community.  She enjoyed the closeness of her neighbors and had many good friends. Her grandchildren, nieces and nephews brought her many years of joy.

When Wally retired in 1996, they bought an RV and spent many winters in Arizona and traveled  the Northwest as well keeping in touch with family and friends.

Wally passed away in 2015 and Jackie remained in the Sandpoint area.

Her love for life was immeasurable and she could energize a room with her infectious laugh.

She is survived by her three sons, Mike in Payette, ID; Scott and his wife Terry in Kootenai, ID; Dan and his wife Wendy in Beaverton, OR; Sister Susan Losey from Phoenix, AZ.  Numerous Nieces and Nephews.  Seven grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
