Joseph "Joe" Richard Marley

December 25, 1965 — October 15, 2019

Joseph "Joe" Richard Marley 53, passed away at his home Tuesday, October 15, 2019 in Sandpoint, Idaho surrounded by his loved ones. Joe was born on December 25th, 1965 to Allan and Dalyn Marley.

Joe attended local schools and graduated from Sandpoint High School in 1984. After graduation he moved to Arizona and worked as a machinist. From there he moved to Napa Valley, California where he began his career as a master builder. In 1990 he moved back up to Sandpoint and he and his brother Jim started J.M Construction. The two brothers have built and remodeled several homes in the greater Sandpoint area. After being home awhile, he met the love of his life, Michelle. They were married years later on the Pend Oreille River where they enjoyed many summers together. The couple enjoyed traveling to Wisconsin to watch the Green Bay Packers, to Chicago to see the Cubs play, to Mexico, to Alaska and Hawaii for some deep sea fishing adventures, and countless other trips throughout the years.

Joe was an avid sportsman, having so much love for the great outdoors this is often where you would find him: cutting firewood, catching fattys on Lake Pend Oreille, hunting elk and whitetail, riding the Rzr , or just enjoying a cold Rainier on the tailgate... Joe found every reason to be outside, unless of course the Packers were playing.

Joe is survived by his wife Michelle of Sandpoint, son Jacob of Kauai, Hawaii, daughters, Makaela (Zack Miller) Marley, Josie (Luther) Coerver of Sandpoint, his mother Dalyn Marley, brother Jim (Kim Schimke) Marley, nephew Jeremiah and niece Kate. Lastly, his greatest joys: grandsons Sawyer and Josiah and granddaughters Alex Dexter and Luca Coerver who arrived only 15 hours after he passed away. He is preceded in death by his father Allan and brother Kris.

Liked by those who met him, loved by those who knew him. Joe was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. He is incredibly loved and will be missed beyond measure.

The family would like to thank everyone for their outpouring of love and condolences during this time.

In Honor of Joe the family invites you to come raise a pint and share a story at the Idaho Pour Authority on Saturday, December 7th, 2019 at 3:00pm.
