Kelley Kurtis Kingsley

May 23, 1949 — March 19, 2024

Kelley Kurtis Kingsley, born on May 23, 1949; age 74, died on March 19, 2024. Born and raised in Colorado to Merle L Shoaf and Kenneth E Kingsley. Kelley graduated from Poudre High School, in Fort Collins in 1967, had a football scholarship to NE Jr College in Sterling, he transferred to New Mexico State University. After serving two years in Law Enforcement in Estes Park, Kelley enlisted in the US Navy in 1972. In 1992, Kelley retired from the Navy, moved to Northern Idaho, where he worked for Bonner County Public Works until 2014, when he retired again. He was a lifelong member of Disabled American Veterans as well as Veterans of Foreign Wars. Kelley was active in sports, enjoyed the outdoors and loved hunting. Kelley met Carol in Northern Idaho, where they enjoyed the last 13 years of his life.

He is survived by his wife, Carol; three children: Monica, Matthew, Laura, their spouses; three grandchildren: Dylan, Jacob and Linus. Kelley was also involved in Carol’s children and grandchildren's lives: Kim, Craig, Scott, their spouses and children. He is survived by one brother, Kerry, two sisters, Carolyn and Cathlyn. His older brother, Kelsey and sister, Cherylan preceded him in death.

Friends and family both in Northern Idaho and Colorado will greatly miss his charisma, dramatic stories, humor and his wonderful laugh.
