Loren graduated from Westbrook High School in 1965.  Later that year he joined the United States Airforce in which he spent the majority of his 4-year military career stationed at Fairchild Airforce Base.  While at an NCO dance Loren met Judith Miller.  They were married a short 3 months later.  Loren and Judy moved back to Loren’s hometown, Westbrook, Minnesota in the fall of 1969.  They rented, and farmed, a farm consisting of 1/2 section of land along with raising pigs and cows.

In 1984, Loren and Judy moved to Sandpoint, Idaho.  Loren worked temporarily with Cornie Polestra during the fall of that year.  He also helped in the building of the Bonner Mall and the Monarch hotel.  After being laid off, Loren responded to an ad in the Sandpoint newspaper in the spring of 1985 for a position at Bird Space Technology where he spent approximately 31 years working.  During this time, he built quite the relationship with Dr. Forest Bird, built a runway, museum, multiple hangers and maintained the ranch.  Currently, Loren was working for Percussion Air in Pend Oreille, Idaho.

Loren enjoyed his family, his work and gardening.  He was busy building a shop so that he could restore a Ford Jubilee tractor.
