Listen to Obituary

Lynn Edith Fisher Rodda, pharmacist, raconteur, and world-class hugger, died February 27, 2026 at the age of 83 in her home in Sandpoint, Idaho. Words cannot convey the impact she’s had on her many circles and the world.  Lynn was, quite simply, a joy and a light.

Lynn was born May 30, 1942 in Spokane, Washington, the youngest daughter of Robert and Lois Fisher and sister of Ferol.  Lynn grew up in Bridgeport and Grand Coulee, WA.  Lynn showed an early aptitude for math and science, and at the age of 11 she decided she wanted to be a pharmacist. She led an active social life and graduated Valedictorian of Bridgeport High School Class of 1960.

Lynn began her post-secondary studies at Whitman College, transferred to Portland State College her sophomore year, and earned a B.S. degree in Combined Math & Science as well as a secondary teaching certificate in 1964.  Lynn taught middle school science and math in several states including Oregon and Minnesota.

Lynn married Ed Paget in 1964 in Chelan, WA and had two daughters Paula and Kabrena.  The couple moved around as Ed pursued surgical residency and served in the Air Force.  After she and Ed divorced, she met the love of her life, Thomas Rodda, and the two were married in 1974 in Sandpoint, ID.  Lynn gained two bonus daughters in this marriage, Anne and Katie.

In 1977, Lynn earned her pharmacy degree at Washington State University and the family moved to Alaska where Lynn practiced pharmacy for over 20 years before switching to hospital administration.  She spent most of her career at Providence Hospital of Anchorage.  Whether consulting with a sled dog owner about a pet medication, or helping a frantic parent of a toddler on a poison control call—Lynn played an integral role in patient health and safety.

Lynn and Tom retired in 2005 and moved to Hope, Idaho.  Intrepid travelers, they visited such far-flung places as New Zealand, Indonesia, South Korea, Japan, Russia, Africa, and many European countries.  Lynn was a valued volunteer at Bonner General Health of Sandpoint.  She and Tom were dedicated members of their church communities, St. Mary’s of Bonner’s Ferry and Holy Spirit of Sand Point, and were also involved with Sandpoint Music Conservatory.

Lynn moved to Luther Park in Sandpoint after Tom died, enjoying time with friends, family, and reading.  She was pleased to win “Scariest Costume” award at Halloween parties two consecutive years, and loved to decorate for holidays.  She adored her furry children Maxine and Fritz.

She is survived by her sister Ferol of San-Antonio, TX; daughters Paula of Seattle, WA (husband Richard), Kabrena of Richland, WA (husband Dan); Anne of Auckland, New Zealand (husband Gordon); Katie of San Diego, CA (husband Chris); grandsons Arthur, Lucas, Dylan (wife Tory), Geoff, Teddy; and great grandson Elliot.

A memorial service will be held at Holy Spirit Episcopal Church in Sandpoint on June 20, 2026 at 10:30am.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to BGH Foundation of Sandpoint.  Her family would particularly like to express gratitude for the support of staff at Luther Park, Eden Health Home Health and Hospice teams, as well as BGH.

Arrangements are under the care of Coffelt Funeral Service of Sandpoint, ID.
