Marcella Kay Mulligan

Marcella Kay Mulligan, 78, passed away on October 11, 2021 in Sandpoint, Idaho.

Interment has taken place in Pinecrest Memorial Park.

Marcella was born on September 21, 1943 in Canton, Illinois, the daughter of Richard and Viola Winchell.  She was the seventh of eight children.  She moved around between Illinois and California as a teenager until she married the love of her life, Lew Mulligan, in 1964.  She and Lew made Kootenai, Idaho their home together until he preceded her in death on April 27, 2009.

Marcella loved flowers, crochet, reading and children.  She spent years volunteering at the elementary school library and most called her Grammy.  She was the happiest when caring for others and putting other people first.

She will be severely missed.  Her memory will live through us in our kindness.

Marcella is survived by four daughters: Angela (Curt) of Washington, Sarah (Ron) of Arizona, Marvella (Dale) of Idaho and Dusteena of Idaho; her great grand son Matthew Mulligan of Kootenai.  She is also survived by a sister Maxine Baker of Illinois, a sister-in-law Judy of California; as well as 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.  Also, multiple cousins, in laws nieces and nephews.
