On Sunday, May 31st 2026 in Post Falls, Idaho, Nancy Lue Eidson went to be with our Lord and Savor. She was surrounded by her family as she went to her heavenly home.
Nancy was born in Montreal, Canada on December 28, 1941, to her parents Donald and Ruth Goodman. Her father was a traveling aviator and as a child, Nancy lived in many places, Canada, Alaska, and Mexico.
In the spring of 1967, Nancy met Porter Eidson while both were working in the medical supply field in Santa Barbara, CA, fell in love and were married in Palmdale, CA on February 3rd 1968. With the two families becoming one, the couple began to raise their five children in Santa Paula, CA.
In 1972, growing tired of the chaotic lifestyle in Southern CA., the couple decided to “Homestead” and move to Canada. They loaded up everything they owned and the kids and headed north, eventually ending up 7 miles up Upper Pack River, just north of Sandpoint, Idaho where they lived for 35 years.
Nancy got a job in Sandpoint as a bookkeeper with P&E woodworking and the Diehl Ranch, and Porter got a job with the post office.
From very meager beginnings, (one small camp trailer and a one room cabin built from logs from the Sundance fire) Porter and Nancy built a very beautiful home, filled with love and natures beauty.
Nancy loved to garden, build flower beds and “decorate” outside. She also enjoyed ceramics and scrapbooking, making special items for family and friends. Being a bookkeeper, she had an extraordinary attention to detail and ability to organize, which she used to help the hospice thrift store in Post Falls, ID.
Nancy is survived by her beloved husband Porter of Post Falls, ID. Yvonne Hoffman Coeur d’Alene, ID, Debbie Patella of Spokane, WA Radonna Doughty of Post Falls, ID, Laura (Franco) Ferro of Rancho Cucamonga, CA, Steve (Jamie) Eidson of Sagle, ID, as well as 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
