Pamela "Pam" Jean Cheney

May 12, 1965 — April 4, 2021

Pamela Jean Cheney, 55, went home to the Lord on Sunday, April 4, 2021 after a short stay at Hospice in Coeur d’Alene.

 

Pam was born on May 12, 1965, the daughter of Jack and Ruth Byrd of Corona, California.  She graduated from West Lake High School in Thousand Oaks, California.  She became a licensed cosmetologist and worked for Shelley’s Automotive.  After graduating from the EMT program at Victor Valley College in Victorville, California, she became an EMT for the County of Los Angeles American Medical Response out of Irwindale, California.

 

Pam fell in love with her long-time co-worker and soulmate, Jerry Cheney and got married on November 5, 2005 in Hesperia, California.  They relocated to Sandpoint, Idaho March of 2014 where she then worked at Schweitzer Mountain Resort until 2019.

 

Pam had a tremendous faith in the Lord, Jesus Christ.  She loved all animals big and small, but her passion was riding and training horses.

 

She is survived by her two daughters Laura Kirkpatrick and spouse Kyle of Priest River, Holly Mason of North Dakota, and her grandson Xander Stone of Priest River.  Her sisters Donna Leach of Nevada, Doreen Trachy of California and her mother Ruth Milford of California; along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

 

Pam is preceded in death by her father Jack Byrd, her husband Jerry Cheney and her brothers Dwight Brown, Donald Brown and Richard Byrd.

 

Private family services will be held on Sunday, April 18, 2021 in Sandpoint.
