Roma "Kikie" Kramer

Roma Kikie Kramer, our beloved sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully on October 26, 2024, just a few months short of 95. 

Kikie, the eldest of six children, was Born on December 9, 1929, in Jordan, Montana, to Kermit and Myrtle Kramer. When Kikie was 15 the family moved to Sandpoint, Idaho, to join Myrtle’s father and mother Tom and Eron Rainey and their children Francis, Frank, Erval and Ruth Keyser.

Kikie graduated from Sandpoint Senior High School in 1948 and married ‘Elmer’ Neil Richard North.

After raising 3 children she put herself through college and 30 years after SHS graduation she earned a BA in Applied Psychology from Eastern Washington University in 1978.

Kikie had a deep curiosity about people and the world, which was matched only by her enormous heart, service and compassion.

She dedicated many years to caring for others, opening her home and her heart to many in need. Her fierce independence, coupled with a profound spirituality, guided her in forging her own path while welcoming others into her journey.

Kikie had a long and successful career at Career Path Services, where she helped countless people gain job skills and employment. She was beloved by her colleagues and clients and went on to serve on the board of directors for many years after her retirement.

Kikie was a magical presence in the lives of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who cherished her warmth and boundless stories. With a bold sense of style and an indomitable spirit, she navigated life on her own terms, inspiring those around her with her infectious humor.

Throughout her life, Kikie was known for her dedication to her family. Her legacy is one of love, hope, and unwavering support for family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Kikie is survived by her three children, Neil North, David North and Robin Barnes, six grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, brother Jerry Kramer (Wink) and sister Carol Kramer Anderson (Kim) and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Kikie was preceded in death by her brother Russ Kramer and sisters

Barbara Kramer Sphar and Martha Kramer Hollenbeck.

Rest in peace, Kikie. Your spirit will continue to illuminate our lives.
