Thomas Franklin Scott

Thomas (Tom) Franklin Scott, 67, of Clark Fork Idaho, went to be with his Lord, October 16th, 2020.

A celebration of life will be held at Calvary Chapel Clark fork on Thursday, the 29th at 5:00pm, dinner to follow. Instead of flowers the family would prefer donations to be made towards starting a Sunday school bus ministry in Clark Fork. Donations can be made to Living Water Lutheran Church (Tom Scott Bus Ministry).

Tom was born September 20th, 1953 in Nyssa Oregon to R.A. and Leona Scott. Growing up he lived between Nyssa and Portland Oregon. In 1972 he married Brenda Armstrong, together they had two children (Kelli and Tommy). January 20th, 1978, He married the Love of his life Jennifer Wright and adopted her son Jarret. As a family they all moved to Clark Fork in September of 1980, where Tom was a logger for nineteen years. Together Tom and Jennifer built two homes from the ground up with hard work and determination, their homes where a revolving door for children of all ages including several foster children. Tom had many passions including hunting and gardening the table was always full of wild game and fresh produce. One of his gardens was even featured in a grading magazine. Another one of his passions was community, he lived in many over the years including Clark Fork, Heron, and Noxon. In the early 2000’s he started his Sunday School bus ministry in Clark Fork and continued in Noxon. Part of this bus ministry included going door to door every Saturday and visiting families, sometimes visits would take all afternoon. Sunday morning he would get up bright and early pick up all the kids and take them to church, then back home. This gave Tom great joy and was a highlight of his life. Another highlight of his life was the community garden and orchard he started at the Noxon community center, where he also volunteered many hours a week for many years. Tom lived his life in full surrender to Christ and to loving others in everything he did his wife was right by his side encouraging and helping him.

Tom is survived by his Mother Leona, Wife of 43 years Jennifer, His 3 children and their spouses, 17 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 5 sisters, 1 brother, and many nieces and nephews. He is proceeded in death by his father R.A., and his brother Ross.
